Do we know if the scales are going to be standard FRN, or G10?

BTW, I'd definitely be in for an Italian made wharnie Urban, but it would need to be a thinner grind than the original Japanese made version.

Ive been EDCing a UKPK for 10 years. I started with the black G10 S30v, in rotation later with a Green "from memory" G10 with VG10 Urban. I lost my G10 UKPK and bought a Gin-1 UKPK when they came out. I then moved onto the BD-1 Black FRN UKPK and now have a S110v Grey UKPK. For me the design of the UKPK with leaf blade shape is as close to perfect as you can get. I would prefer G10 in all honestly, and this is more that I prefer the feel of G10 to FRN. Would be great to offer the UKPK in FRN and G10 to provide a choice. I love high end steel and want a knife that holds an edge a long time. So any of the CPM steels like s30v, 110v and better :)
As for colour Coyote Brown sounds good, anything other than black. I used to like black handles, infact still do. But in the UK black handled knives are seen in a less than favourable way by non-knife users.

Kev, nicely said. This sums up how I feel about the ukpk as well. I hope the g10 ukpk sees the light of day again.

Hi Jazz,

I'm pushing for a 52100 UK.

Sounds brilliant, I hope it goes ahead and hope some make it across the pond.

Let’s hope it’ll happen. I really want to try this super steel, and want this knife since I first heard of it.
- best wishes, Jazz.

The UKPK's that I have tried (long ago) were not to my liking because the springs were weak like the Squeak's are. I liked the drop point, but I did not care for how easy the knife was to collapse, especially if I were piercing something, like a pumpkin or a cardboard box. My fingers are precious to me. I far and away prefer the Urban LW.

This has been addressed in the current ffg UKPK models. All new spring design, much stiffer action.

Honestly, I’ll buy whatever UKPK Spyderco decides to sell. I love the design.

This.

@Nate

The color is spot on. Sal and Co. did another great job. I can't wait for this to hit the stores.
