Re: Future plans for the UKPK?
anything in 52100 would be appreciated. The treatment on the carbon fiber PM2 is preforming great for me. The same thing on basically any knife in your lineup would be cool...it's a nice contrast to "super steels" and has been a longtime favorite of mine.
The UKPK and by extension the Caly 3 are just the best looking pocket knives ever made. The slipjoint factor is a positive for me and any sort of weird material sprint runs would be instant buys.
I know M4 is a fan favorite but if I can't get 52100 than my second choice would be XHP. Spyderco does a good job with this steel and it compares favorably to m390 in every category but seems less expensive right now. It's just a good steel for an every day carry pocket knife.
Re: Future plans for the UKPK?
I like Sal's suggestion of a drop point UKPK in 52100. OD green G10?
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: Future plans for the UKPK?
I've been waiting for that forever. I used to want drop point, but now I think leaf. Tan FRN for me. Hopefully not a coated blade.
- best wishes, Jazz.
Re: Future plans for the UKPK?
I think an XHP UKPK would be perfect! Maybe in a dark green or maroon FRN

I agree, it opens and closes perfectly.
It's more an aesthetic thing of it stopping half way. Think the urban looks better for the full length spine.

Re: Future plans for the UKPK?
So I finally got the FRN lightweight Urban and have realised it's exactly what I want from the UKPK!
What I don't like about the UKPK is it's too light and doesn't feel sturdy or substantial enough for a 3 inch knife. The blade is too thin. The back lock only goes half way down the spine.
What I love about the Urban is it's heavier and feels sturdy. It has a thicker blade and a full length back spring.
If the UKPK was a 3 inch Urban then that would be perfect.
Having said that, the Urban is perfect too.
Anyway. What do I know. Keep making great knives Sal!

A Salt version would be amazing, as long as it uses LC200N. I love the steel and the UKPK so it is a no brained for me.
Maxamet would be a great option since it’d be on the affordable side of Maxamet folders (even for Spyderco).
Please keep it as a leafshape.

The original g10 UKPKs has full length back springs. Would be nice if they made a return.

Another colour apart from black.
I think something bright like the G10 orange is far more friendly looking for edc here in the uk.
Less likely to cause offence or upset people in a bright colour.
May sound stupid but I think it makes a difference

Yea, I've got a green G10 UKPK and I love the blade thickness and full length spine.Liquid Cobra wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 8:31 amScheißenberg wrote: ↑Thu Nov 01, 2018 3:19 pmSo I finally got the FRN lightweight Urban and have realised it's exactly what I want from the UKPK!

Something like that with FRN could be good.

I just got the Urban K390 Sprint and love it. I was just about to buy a UKPN, but might hold off based on your thoughts. I prefer a thicker blade and a bit of weight. At least until I can hold a UKPN physically in any case.
I thought I would hate the Roadie based on specs but now carry one a lot. So what do I know?
Re: Future plans for the UKPK?
I think a yellow FRN version would make a nice lightweight backpacking/camping utility knife. Preferably in LC200N.

Re: Future plans for the UKPK?
I just really want the linerless g10 brought back. Please. I don't care if it is black and bd1n, black and s30v, blurple in s110v, smooth or heavily textured.
