Not TkoK83Spy but...I get HAP40 crazy sharp with the Sharpmaker
I just recently got the Sharpmaker and trying to get the hang of it. Last time I sharpened my Hap40 Delica I used a medium grit bench stone, followed by the Sharpmaker Fine and Ultra Fine rods that I used freehand at the time.
HAP40 is my favorite Seki steel run so far, so this is probably best case scenario. Well other than K390. If this was K390 there would be no hesitation from me! Maybe they'll drop the price before release like they did with the Manix.p_atrick wrote: ↑Thu Oct 04, 2018 10:53 amSo what's up with all the Hap40? I'm not complaining, but Hap40 (if I understand it correctly) is a high-speed tool steel. We often pine for these premium steels, but they are not often rolled into the proper size and shape for cutlery application (plus all this Hap40 is laminated). I wonder why Seki City has so much Hap40 on hand.
