Knife sent in for repair that’s out of warranty.

I sent a knife with a scale swap in cause a screw broke off and I wanted the broke screw extracted. I’m fine with it being out of warranty and paying for the service.

My question is will Spyderco put a notch on my blade now that the warranty is void? Like they do on factory seconds?Hope that’s not the case with my knife?

I doubt that they would do that to a customer’s knife but they will be the ones to let you know.

Regards and I’m sure they will take good care of you and your knife.

I've sent a couple of seconds they didn't really want anything to do with them. I figured they would at least sharpen them

No they don’t do that to customers knives. I sent in ablade swapped Delica for sharpening and they just did the work (and noted in their return note that due to the swap they couldn’t do warranty work on it).
