If you could resurrect one discontinued model what would it be?

#1

Post by M4Life »

Hey guys the title of this thread is pretty self explanatory if you could wave a magic wand and bring one discontinued Spyderco model what would it be and why? Also if there is anything you would change about that model feel free to put that too.

Personally I would bring back the Spyderco chubby because I think it looks super cool and it was discontinued a little before I got on the knife collecting scene.
Just a man with a plan and a knife in hand.

I'd probably go with the Slysz Bowie. I've been wanting one for a while but $350 is ridiculous for a used one. Maybe I'll just grab a SpydieChef instead :spyder:

The g10 Dyad. Any color. Almost any steel.
It would be cool if the serrated was h1 and plain blade was lc200n.

C54 Calypso (full size). Updated w/ a modern stainless steel e.g. M390/CPM20CV/CTS204P, screwed construction, compression lock, and heck throw in a flipper too why not.

I'll second the C54 Calypso. However, in original unlined micarta. I have a serrated edge I got for an absolute steal several years ago and it is an awesome knife.

And yes I know there are QC issues with unlined micarta and it is probably not feasible.

Either the Ayoob in SE or a Rock Lobster but with "modern construction", as in maybe a Military style pivot and floating stop pin and similar construction as the current Military.

I would like a G10 Poliwog.

I really enjoyed mine and was unable to replace it when I lost it.

A full sized Dyad Salt would be epic!
I would settle for just LC200N.
