CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
Just a simple poll to see if you use two fingers or one to unlock your caged ball bearing lock knives.
I use one, my thumb. This has worked on all the CBBL knives I've handled.
What about you?

Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
I use two. I can do it with only my thumb but I struggle with it so I don't bother
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!
Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
i use my thumb and forefinger. i can do it with either one by itself, but it requires more focus than i’m usually willing to lend to closing my knife.
keep your knife sharp and your focus sharper.

I use two, but I have used one in the past and that's worked for me too. I just prefer two.

One thumb can work, but somehow it's more comfortable for me to use two fingers to unlock the CBBL.

Like others have said, I use two. Because, while I can do it with one, it's a struggle. Bolt action lock, on the other hand, works like a charm with just one finger.

Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
One usually, my thumb but I can do a forefinger alone or a two finger grip. I find it easy to do with one thumb and I am perplexed by the word struggle. On the other hand I have to focus to flip a knife open. Enough that I’m not much of a fan of the flipper as an opening method.

Just my thumb.
Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
2. Was working with my s100v manix just tonight.
Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
If we talk about manix a single finger is enough, with the dodo better to use two

Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
I can do one but it feels like I'm using more effort than is necessary so I just use two. It's not like it's difficult with two or significantly easier with one.

Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
Just like others have posted, I can use my thumb only, but always pinch and pull with thumb and finger. It’s just more natural.
I also have tried the “half open” hack to loosen the spring. But I’m with sharpguy, I don’t think it does anything at all.

Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
I prefer finger and thumb with my hand over the top of the knife, that way no fingers are in the path of the blade as it swings open or shut.

Don't forget, you're not normal, bro. :p
I use 2.

Re: CBBL: Two finger unlock, or one?
I used two fingers. I can do it with one, but it is a lot easier and safer to use two. This is not an axis lock. I find the buttons to be a little slippery when using one finger. On the axis lock the buttons have edges I can get my finger on to unlock the blade.

Two fingers but I don't have big hands.
Everytime I unlock a cbbl my fingers wish the cage were made of a metal.
