What spyderco did you buy that made you question the reasoning for all your others? Different occasions call for different blades of course, but did you ever find one that you think could be the one that will stay in your pocket for the rest of your life?
Delica 4 vanilla, Para 3 LW Spy27, Native 5 REX 45, DF2 salt, Spydiechef, Endura 4 Teal, Manix 2 REX 45, PM2 St. Nick's, and a PM2 Black DLC. Plus a Manix 2 XL BHQ when that decides to show up

Lil Native. But before that it was just about every folding knife spyderco has made. I'm always changing my mind about which spyderco design I like the best. Doesn't help that they keep putting out new and interesting designs. I love your signature line by the way. I buy knives on accident a lot too... Or at least that's what I tell my husband lol.

I think I am close with the Native LW, but it doesn't really come in any of the flavors of steel that I like. No Cruwear, 4V, V4E, 3V, 52100, Rex45, or M4. Any of those in DLC would be potential game changers for me. The Native Salt will probably come close until some of these other steels make it into the Native LW. A blacked out Native Salt would be one that may rise above the rest and seems like one that would be very likely to happen.

Once fall comes and I start wearing jeans I will start carrying the Native G10 and Para 3 models. I prefer the FRN in the summer with my shorts.

So long story short, no "the one". More like "the thirty...soon to be forty before the end of the year"

For me, it was the Spyderco Endura and Spyderco Delica, both with the molded clip... these knives were so sharp out of the package and so practical in design and use. The only thing that made them a bit unpractical, at least for me, was their SE edges... that, perhaps, may've been the reason they never totally convinced me to abandon my other folders. Spyderco folders (most of which are PE) now compliment the other brand knives I EDC.

That's pretty much where I'm at. I've taken a liking to the pm2 which is fine as we head into colder weather but in the summer I like lighter knives. I'm very much waiting on that native 5 salt to come out. I did try a para 3 for a while but for some reason it never stuck with me. In theory it's perfect. I've been eyeballing the native 5 series for a while now and as soon as that salt drops I'm jumping on that train. Being a sailor it's appropriate anyway. At least that's what I tell myself.

The chaparral I got 2 months ago has certainly done that for me. It has kicked all of my other knives back into my knife case. On the rare occasions that I have carried a larger knife, the chap has still tagged along in my coin pocket. Such a crazy good slicer that fits my hand soooo much better than a DF2. I don't know if I will "keep it in my pocket for the rest of my life" as I still love all of my others, but it is 100% in my "if I could only have x knives for the rest of my life this would be a sure thing" knife category.

Manix 2 LW. First s110v. Then Maxamet (when Maxamet was released).

I still need the s110v (for times when I need stainless, which isn't too often) and also a "travel knife" for various jurisdictions (I like the UKPK for most of the places I go in europe and the Chaparral for a restrictive jurisdiction in the US I visit for a few weeks every year).

After that it's just for fun. :)

Caribbean

Or

Dyad

Or

Native 5 HW S110V

In that order. If they made a full sized G10 Dyad in LC200N(I'd go crazy.) it might push the Caribbean down just because of the versatility.

I still like the Caribbean better, can't wait to see its big brother.

Years ago it was the Military but the most recent model has to be the Sliverax.

Have to throw in the Autonomy too. It is a beast.

Mine is a little less popular a choice than others. The terzuola double bevel. I have one that has been reprofiled from a tanto into a drop point, and that makes all the difference. Blade to handle ratio is higher than almost any other spyderco, ergonomics are amazing, deployment is super smooth, and the profile is very sleek. I carry plenty of different knives, and I always come back to the double bevel.

Endura. Not the prettiest knife, but given the size, weight, and steel options I can't think of a more practical design (local laws excluded).

I’m a big fan of several classic models, but if I could have only one (assuming no replacements if lost or broken), I’d probably go Endura. Not only is it one of the most comfortable for me to hold and use, but I think the back lock will outlast some other designs. I’ve never wore one out.

The Delica. Which was, ironically, my first Spyderco. I could be happy with just the Delica, but I can afford to add the variety, so why not?
