Q assortment

#1

Post by Rawd »

Since the Coors Q finally arrived, and I was in the safe deposit box, I thought I might assemble a few of the more unusual ones for your enjoyment. :)

I've read through Chris' site. Does anyone know more about the Deer and the Mountains, (The top and bottom on the left). The middle one on the left is from a collection I picked up a while ago.......Its from.......I think I'll let the Q experts identify it also. Should be fairly easy with the Knifeworld listing.

Enjoy, Rod

Dude- Awesome picture!!
Just don't tell anyone where you live in case of temptation. I have never seen a couple of those before.
As for your question- the one in the middle on the left is a Q from
Venetia Mining company from South Africa.

Just another facet of the Spyderco mystique! I own a bunch of Spyderco's but have never gotten in to these. Maybe someday.....

Very nice collection, Rod! The more often I see the various Q models the more I begin to like them :)

I only wouldn't have the patience to hunt them all down... :D

Cheers, Rob

Rare Q's

#6

Post by spyderwa »

That is a great pic. The rarest Q's are the one/two offs that were made to present the idea to a company for potential production. The Coors knife is one example. I have heard that there is one or two Ferrari Q's and Playboy Q's out there somewhere. Good job on the collection.

Rawd,
Great pictures. I'm sure I'll be updating my site again shortly. I hadn't seen the venetia mining one before. On the one with the mountains was there any info on the box? This is the one I was confused with and thought may have been for moteng. While scanning through my pictures I found one from an old brochure that looks like samples. I'll see if I can post it. There is one with a P in a field of horizontal lines, that I personally like the design of.

beautiful group of Q's. I've always been interested in getting some but the ebay bidding has been hot and heavy.

Rawd,
My emails to you keep returning as spam. You can email me at boxer93@comcast.net. I have to work on the pictures from the paper I have. The quality was not good and the image too large.
Thanks
Chris

Thanks Rawd. The most recent pictures have been added to my site. 4 new ones. venetia mining, "script mountains", Gun Games and Hugh M Woods. And a much better one of the MIT Inkjet Q. If anyone still has more pictures I'll add them in.
Thanks to all who have helped.
Chris
