No idea who YG is, but he has good taste. That was my very first Spydie right there. I ordered it from Amazon so I could have it delivered same day to the place we were staying at the beach. I wanted something not scary to other beachgoers to clip to my board shorts after I saw a shark in the water earlier in the day. Just in case I needed to stab one in the eye or something. :D
I'll probably go with the Salt 2 or Native Salt for
duty going foward though. The Pacific Salt is probably a bit large to be comfortable clipped to board shorts.

every time i’m in the water. i realize everyone is different, but i don’t find it to be too big at all. the pac salt was my first spyderco knife since i was a kid and i couldn’t get over how light it was for such a simple, but solid, knife. i don’t think a shark would ever stick around long enough for me to stab it with a knife, but if i’m ever stuck in a net, line, or kelp, i want as many serrations as i can carry to rip through whatever might be holding me. the pac salt is just about the most perfect knife for saltwater use.steelcity16 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 06, 2018 12:23 amThe Pacific Salt is probably a bit large to be comfortable clipped to board shorts.

Anyways, I love my Salt DF2, I carry it clipped in my swim trunks at the lake and pool during the summer and as a backup when kayak fishing.

That is pretty cool. I listen to his music and would have never guessed he carried a spydie. Much less a dragonfly?! Would've assumed a bigger knife, perhaps a Darn Dao :cool:
