Ladybug... HA! Too funny to not share!

#1

Post by TazKristi »

Most of you may not be aware, but we see around 150 - 250 attempts by spam accounts to join/post every day. I've made several adjustments in the forum and 99.9% of the spam activity is never seen publicly. About 10% actually succeed in making an account and posting something. Those are held in post approvals for us to either approve or decline. While clearing posts today, I came across one that I just had to share because it's hysterical. Only our forum, our members will see the unintended humor.

To keep the forum clean, the OP has been banned but I've copied the post below in the first comment to follow. First, though you'll find a link to the thread it was posted in. The thread is from 2015 and it has some interesting history noted; it's a short thread. Click the link, read the thread, and then come back here to read the post. ;)

As aggravating as spam can be, it's nice to find some unintended humor that we can all enjoy. :D

Or me
I've edited and replaced the link... try once more. It seems to work.

I'm ok with a Ladybug invasion but even I might have a problem with 5000 of them

Ha ha! :D

"A ladybug invasion can be hard to gain under power without proficient help"
I think a spyder invasion is just as bad. ;)

Thanks for sharing this TazKristi!

Ha!

I have dealt with Ladybug infestations many times. I have had thousands in my house and I have filled my vacuum completely full with them. When you have that many the stupid things really stink!

This is good information, but how does one get rid of Jesters then, hmmm? 😆

I know what that's like Darby. Have you had any problems with Japanese beetles? They have been an absolute plague in our area the past few years.

I have never had them in my house but they ravage my garden. The ladybugs are just a smelly nuisance but those beetles are destructive. I feed them to the chickens though and they love them!

I'm going to let any ladybugs sit unbothered. I definitely don't intend to vacuum them up.

Things are under control thus far.

P.S. Thanks Kristi for all you do behind the scenes.

That was funny! I have had a small invasion of bugs, Spyderco Bugs, that is. Plus, now we have two new names for future Spyderco Bug knives: The Squash Bug and the Mexican Bean Bug. HaHaha!
