I am going to buy one to see if it makes a good steak knife. If it does then I will order 7 more for a complete set of 8.
I’m considering the same. I had a dream of doing that with the b&t but that was way outside my steak knife budget. Haha. I could swing 4 of these though, especially knowing that my “steak knives” would see all kinds of other use too.

Are you saying you would rather have them as steak knives? They would be huge steak knives. The red ones would be great for that but the blue are a bit long. Well, unless you eat steaks the size of Fred Flinstone’s. ;)

I do like my blue serrated utility. It is a bagel splitting machine.

This is a tangent but I have put a lot of thought into getting a sheath made for the red serrated utility for a fishing knife. It would be great for cutting bait and gutting fish.

I’d assumed they were available as 4” and blue. Are the colors length specific? Red or black would be fine, I do like the blue though.

The K05 (4") is available in red & black. I actually used a K05 PE as a steak knife the other night. It worked well considering it wasn't SE.

The K04 (6") is available in blue & black. We have 2 blue SE that see a lot of use. My SE loves them.

On a side note, she said she used the SE fillet knife (from Sal's drawer-O-knives) for the first time the other day. She used it to cut the rind off a sectioned cantaloupe. She said it worked fabulously and she's sure that knife will see a lot of use in the future.

Without handling the Bow, I feel like this would make a decent camp kitchen knife. Not sure I would use it a a steak knife though..

No pics that I've seen. Lots of people are waiting to jump on this. I think this is one of the greatest things Spyderco has done for the masses. Gonna be awesome and no doubt sell tons of them.

I'm curious as to what the sheath is going to look like too.. Wish we could see a picture since we already know what the knife looks like, and people are taking pre-orders..

I have to ask... what are you going to do with them?
