Beautiful knife! I regret never picking one up.
Don’t rule out carrying a full sized folder IWB just in case.

I typically will have something more substantial in the car, pack or what have you.
That said the Air chopped the crap out of my apple today... it was a slow day for cutting stuff.

That silver twill glass fiber is really beautiful to look at. I wish Spyderco would use this on the Chaparral.
The Air is a great design. I was uncomfortable with the lack of detent strength on the one I looked at so I passed it up. However, carried in a slip it should be dandy.

Re: I think I have found my EDC
My favorite small Spyderco so far. I guess I don't understand the knife-buying public, because I don't see how this one was disco'ed.
Re: I think I have found my EDC
I've never seen one, that's definitely pretty sweet though. Diggin those scales too.
Re: I think I have found my EDC
The more I use it I have to say i think it’s a very underrated design-
For such a small knife ergos are great, it’s very slicey and it’s just a little unique.
The one downfall is, as with most tichung models, they can’t smooth a sharp edge for love or money apparently- the liners are just a little grabby, not enough to cut you or anything like that but at this price point it is a shame they missed it, however 2 min with some abrasive will sort it with ease.
I will say I am very impressed with the lock up-
I think it is actually the most perfect lockup I have seen.

Great looking piece. Lots of love for the wharncliffe shape and one can't go wrong with a nice swedge. I'm sure it will serve you well. If it had a forward finger choil I'd be on the lookout for one myself.
Re: I think I have found my EDC
Substantialy more money and closer to home-
I’ll just keep my knife in my pocket rather than clipped to it.
Re: I think I have found my EDC
Just reflecting personally... I’ve been carrying clipped knives of some persuasion since 1994, even while cycling in spandex. Prior to that it was a sheathed SAK or buck on the belt. On the very rare occasion that I forget to put on a knife, I’m off all day. I can leave my phone, forget my wedding band, wear mix matched socks, pull dryer sheets out of my shirt partway through the day... whatever and I’m good. But forget the knife, and it’s just not right.

Funny how a change in jobs affects your perspective on your knife carry.
I went from carrying 3 knives plus backups in my bag in my old job to barely having a use for one in my new job.. I miss giving my Millie’s a good work out, my s90v kw has barely seen the light of day yet

I know what you mean. I worked in construction for close to ten years, and used my knife every day for all kinds of jobs... now I work in a steel shop and sometimes I find myself hunting around for something to cut. :)
Not that there's no use for a knife at my job, just it's a lot less than what I was used to.

Re: I think I have found my EDC
I love my Bradley Air, and need to carry it more often. I think the scales are beautiful, but I remember several people posting about NOT liking the color of them when it cam out. Some people resorted to dying them, I think with red RIT dye. There was a thread with pictures of it somewhere on here.
My Air is definitely a knife for the "can't even tell it's there" needs.

Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)
Re: I think I have found my EDC
I can’t imagine trying to dye these, I think they look great.
I have moved on my superfluous blades and spyderco wise I have;
-Air
-FRN chaparral
And I think I have my ambitious in a box somewhere..
Yep the Ambitious is the big knife lol.

I particularly like the scales on the Air as they get grubby. Along with the patina on the blade, the whole thing just feels right.rodloos wrote: ↑Fri Aug 03, 2018 9:40 pmI love my Bradley Air, and need to carry it more often. Re: I think I have found my EDC
Man, I really wish this was one that I had picked up.. If I could bring back one discontinued model as a sprint, it would be this knife.. Maybe in XHP and G-10/CF Laminate so it comes in at a price point around that of the Rhino? I feel like it would gain more traction with a larger community if it was a lower price, but I would pick this sprint up no matter the materials used
