Look at Crucible's data sheets. They show M4 at 65 is noticeably tougher than Rex 45 at 67, and also a little more wear resistant. Spyderco doesn't run M4 at 65 (as far as I know, except an early run of Gayle Bradleys), so the wear resistance is probably pretty close.

Any chance of seeing this steel in a Native or Manix (g10 or LW)?? The Native is my favorite model (LW, G10, linerless G10...love them all!) so I really wish that we would see more of these new steels in Native format. Still waiting on Cruwear, 52100, M390/CTS-204P, Elmax, CTS-XHP, etc...and where is that darned LC200N Salt???

I'd guess if the mili family sells well the Native and Manix won't be far behind--they're all Golden models.

Are the PM2's already sold out, or not up for sale yet? On KC Millie and PM3 are available for pre order but not the PM2. KC says "currently unavailable"

That probably just means that KC has taken as many preorders as knives they expect to receive from Spyderco.

Has anyone placed a PM2 pre order? All the websites show them as unavailable. I hope I did not miss the window...

I pre-ordered a PM2 from KC. If I were you I'd just wait until they start to drop and keep an eye on this thread. Somebody's bound to post where/when they're available.

Hello All, new member and first time post. Long time knife junkie and recent Spyderco fan. Have purchased 11 Spydercos since 2016 and am anxiously waiting for my first sprint run, the Para 3 Rex 45. Has anyone heard when these knives will ship ?

Should be any time now as I see in stock at country knives. Price is ridiculous at $225 but at least it is popping it’s head up in the wild.

I don't trust Country Knives. Some of their product descriptions were bogus in the past, and their pricing is worse than BBS. I wouldn't be surprised if some products they show as available are not actually in stock.

I'll wait for reputable dealers to show availability.

I emailed Country Knives and got no reply, so I called and of course the Rex 45 PM2 showing in stock, in my shopping cart was not in stock. The gentleman I spoke to said all 4 he was getting were already sold. I should have asked why they were still available on his website, but I didn't get that far. Probably best because in my moment of weakness I would have paid $225. The search continues....

Just got my hands on a Rex 45 PM2. I am very grateful that Spyderco made this sprint run available world wide so we in Europe could get them easily too. Thanks a lot! The color and steel are very nice. Probably the sharpest knife I have ever gotten out of the box.

I was just wondering how many of this sprint run are produced. Is it the standard ~1200 sprint run for each model?
