Went to pre-order one of these and now getting a message saying "sold out"

Hopefully that's a sign that these are close to release? I sure hope so......

I pre-ordered one. Weeks later I asked someone at Blade HQ when they expect to receive the Bow River knives, he told me 3rd quarter. Jul., Aug., Sep. We’ll see. I’ll keep you posted.

But seriously, how bout that sheath... anything besides "it's leather"? I know I'll see soon enough, just wanted more informed daydreaming while I should be working.

Yea I wonder if there's still some final sheath testing and design changes going on. The Spyderco guys must have seen us talking about this for so long and are choosing not to divulge more info for a reason. Pre-orders are sold out almost everywhere, so most people must have faith that it'll be good and what they want.

I find it weird that they haven't released any information on the sheaths.. Did they not have them completed at the time of Blade Show when they had the knife there? Anybody go to Blade Show and actually see the knife and/or sheath??

I wonder if this one will make it this year. Getting high volume, low cost production tuned up is tricky, they might have hit a snag. I hope not, this will make a good stocking stuffer!

Right now it's still showing in stock on Spyderco.com. You can get one for a great price if you're eligible for the OpFocus program. I bundled mine in with a few other knives to get to the free shipping minimum.

You're waiting for the second run?

I think there are still some on eBay, but since they sold out so fast the prices are kind of inflated.

The second run just hit. I ordered mine from the SFO when they showed up back in stock last week. Hopefully they keep cranking these out to meet demand.
