On a whim, I decided to drive up to the SFO store today. The salesman asked if I was looking for anything, and I told him I wasn't sure, just something I can't live without. He brought me over to a case and pointed out the new Para 2 in CPM Rex 45. He said they just put them in the case a couple hours ago. I think I looked at it for all of 3 seconds before I said I'd take it. What an awesome knife! The color of the burnt orange handles is a very close match to the HAP40 Endura I own. When I went to pay, another salesman helped me out. I mentioned to him that this was without a doubt, the sharpest factory edge I'd ever felt on one of their knives. He thanked me and said that he had been working in production a few weeks ago, and he was the one actually sharpened it. It was so cool to meet one of the people who actually make these fantastic knives. He told me this steel sharpens a lot like 204P. I wish I had caught his name or the first salesman, as they were both super helpful and nice. I haven't cut anything but some paper with it, but so far it's a terrific looking knife. Perfect centering, with great fit and finish. Can't wait to try this out!

Dang, that looks better than I had imagined. I have had a PM2 on pre-order since they were first announced. The question is do I want this Para3 or the 52100 Para3?
