Hello and incoming!

#1

Post by cptdean »

Hi, all! I’ve been lurking a bit to figure out what I’d like to buy for a small EDC, and tonight I went for a Dragonfly 2, Zome green, VG-10. It’s my first Spyderco. It’ll only see light duty, but I’m sure it’ll be awesome. Thanks to everyone for the wealth of knowledge and so many great posts! I’ll post non-calendar-worthy pics when it arrives.

They sure are! When I got the first Delica Wharrencliff I also bought a regular one in Zome and swapped out the handles.
Oh yeah, welcome to the fourm cptdean!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I really struggled deciding between the Dragonfly and Delica, but I figured it was really more of a question of which to buy *first*.

I owned a lot of Gerbers back in the '80s (all gone), and my nicest knife ever was an early Benchmade Emerson CQC-7 (also gone). All I have at the moment is a SOG Visionary II, my little Swiss Army, and now this incoming Dragonfly. I like to cycle through hobbies and have decided to do some knife collecting now. Going to make a genuine go at Spyderco and see if it takes me anywhere else.

Thanks again!

PM2 has been ordered. Who had Thursday, July 12th, in the pool?

Newb here too. Hello! I gotta stop browsing the pic threads or I'll have to get a second job to support this habit.

It's easy. Just don't buy every knife they sell! :D
