Has there ever been an M390 Native?

#1

Post by TomAiello »

I tried google but couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know if there has ever been a Native in M390, 20cv or 204p?

Thanks for anyone who can point me at some info.

It would be nice if KWs did a 204P run.

Nah, DLT Trading would be better...Red G10 scales with M390. They should do a DLC version as well. That would look sick against the Red.

I'd also rather it be from DLT than from BB$

A Native5 in M390 (DLT Red G-10) would be sweet and so too one in CTS-204P (KW Green G-10). Also, I like the linerless Native5 models.

I'd never buy from BBS.

There have been way too many Native5 in S90V.

Might have to be my ninth native...lol. The Native is far and away my favorite model. They probably are done making G10 Natives with stainless liners, but Id like the see a Red G10 Native with DLC M390 blade and black liners and hardware from DLT. Id also be cool with a Red FRN Native LW with M390. The Native LW is my favorite variation.

After getting my Red G10 Delica, I have a very renewed interest in seeing a Red M390 Native from DLT Trading... hopefully DLC coated. That would be a fantastic piece.

Native is small and slim. The 3” blade lets you carry it legally in more places like Para3, Sage and Delica but unlike them it’s not as wide since it doesn’t have that hump for the blade hole. I think more people would fancy a Native if they had a choice of a Compression Lock like the Lil Native.

I have or have had most of the popular flagship Golden and Seki folders. While I like the Millie, Manix, and PM2 a lot, the Native is the ideal EDC knife for me. The Native LW in particular is my favorite due to the very light weight, yet it feels rock solid. It has a very smooth action with an awesome sounding and feeling lockup. The size is perfect where its not too small, but not too big. Whether carried loose on my pocket or clipped it feels like nothing is there. The PM2 is too big for me to EDC comfortably, especially in the lighter weight khaki shorts I wear 9 months out of the year here in the south. I carry a Native LW daily and I honestly cant remember ever feeling like I wish I had a PM2 or Millie for anything I have encountered. I have a few PM2s, Millies, and Manixes in my desk drawer and they rarely get used anymore. I still love them and wont ever get rid of them though. They will see more use in winter when I am wearing heavier jeans where I wont notice the size and weight as much.

My only grip with the Native LW is lack of tool steel options. I am desperately hoping they do 52100, M4, Cruwear, Rex 45, 3V and 4V in the near future.
