What I was hoping to see in the Mid-Year Supplement

#1

Post by Doc Dan »

There were some great knives in the new Mid-year Supplement. However, there are some knives I was really hoping to see.

1. HAP40 Caly 3.5
2. Urban Lightweight in new steel
3. New version of the Manix 2 back lock
4. Blue Dragonfly

I am sure I am not alone. We can all hope for the new Catalog sometime before Christmas.

yeah, a blue DF2 would be great, as would a new Manix 2 Backlock (Cruwear maybe?)!

I was hoping to see the Native LW Cruwear (or a G10 Native Cruwear) and the 52100 PPCF Para 3 that have been hinted at in various threads. A 52100 PPCF Native would also have been great news. Still hoping to see all of these in the future.

And still waiting impatiently for that LC200N Native to drop...cant take it much longer! lol

Blue DF2 in the same blue as the Delica, or a new blue shade with a special steel?

What I want is a sprint of the Urban wharncliffe. Like an idiot, I gave mine to brother who lives in London, and man do I miss that knife.

Would have loved seeing that! As impressive as this mid year catalog is, that would have just put it over the top!

And I was expecting to see a new variation of the Shaman in there. Either a sprint or new full production model like S110V.

The Urban is not available in BD1N. It is available in a higher end steel already.

Yeah, the original Urban was a pair of G-10 linerless models with VG10 blades: one leaf-shaped (green), one wharncliffe (orange). I guess the wharncliffe never sold enough to make it to a lightweight version, but that was a sweet knife.

I really loved the mid-year supplement. We got the Techno 2 and we all know that means the Swayback is next in the Slysz lineup...here's hoping for a 2019 or 2020 release on the Slysz Swayback :)
