Does anyone have any info on this?
Devastating.
Don't worry, the socialists will come after them soon.Liquid Cobra wrote: ↑Sat May 05, 2018 8:29 amSo I was browsing the Warriors and Wonders site (like I often do) when I noticed their new announcement on the front page. It seems they are no longer importing Spyderco knives due to the CBSA ruling. I mean, I just don’t get it. Why just Spyderco? Why not Benchmade, CRK or any other brand?
Johnnie1801 wrote: ↑Sat May 05, 2018 11:12 amBit odd, slipjoints and fixed blades are still legal, maybe they just don't sell well enough so they have decided to stop selling the brand?
I hope you stick around Jazz, but I get it. Got to painful to watch the all the new models drop
Care to enlighten us on how to get our knives?PaleMoon wrote: ↑Sat May 05, 2018 11:39 amIt only says they will stop importing Spyderco folding knives.
I still believe this is little more than a temporary hindrance. Laws and rulings come and go; just look at what's happening in the USA. At this point, anyone who sincerely believes locking folders will never again be legally imported into Canada is clearly over-reacting. In the meantime, there are plenty other ways to get your knives. If anything, it'll make each new acquisition much more special.
To be honest, I bought a knife from W&W once and it was one of the worst purchasing experiences of my life. I'm certainly not wishing ill on them, but if my experience reflects their normal business practices, I can't say I'll weep if they go through a bit of a rough patch.
Might as well be ready and quite used to them in case. I still use a Delica wharnie at work.
Fixed blades are so not for me, for EDC anyway. Never understood that. Who knows what they'll do?SpyderEdgeForever wrote: ↑Sat May 05, 2018 5:21 pmI hope they will at least still carry the various fixed blades from Spyderco. For example, the fixed blade Spyderco Moran hunting knives and other models. Man that is sad that that is happening![]()

If I am reading the announcement correctly, the key word seems to be "able". My condolences either wayThe Deacon wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 3:40 amThe wording of W&W's announcement makes me wonder whether this is a decision they have made not to import Spydercos, or a decision Spyderco has made to stop exporting knives to Canada so as to avoid the risk of having entire shipments seized by Canadian Customs.
Agreed. We don't yet have enough info. I hope it's Spyderco's doing. Otherwise it looks like W&W caved to hysterical bureaucrats (who, BTW, don't change just because a government changes). The Deacon wrote: ↑Sun May 06, 2018 3:40 amThe wording of W&W's announcement makes me wonder whether this is a decision they have made not to import Spydercos, or a decision Spyderco has made to stop exporting knives to Canada so as to avoid the risk of having entire shipments seized by Canadian Customs.
