It's a bit off topic, but anyway: IIRC there has been an official statement from Spyderco that the steel 's official name is Cru-Wear - nevertheless the etching on the blade says Cruwear.
That's just to keep your searches confusing...

Similar to the multitude of ways many online shops force you to try 3 or 4 different searches for a PM2... ;)

The steel’s name officially is CRU-WEAR, all caps with a registered trademark symbol after it (per the Crucible website). Spyderco marks the blades as “CRUWEAR” in all caps, ditching the hyphen and registered mark. Writing it out as “Cruwear” in the title as I did or “Cru-Wear” doesn’t really seem to matter as both are technically incorrect. ;)

There was a thread a while back wherein Kristi admitted they spelled CRU-WEAR incorrectly. I was under the impression it would be corrected, but apparently not. I like it Spyderco's way better.

Is this on their site yet? Can't seem to find it, figured they'd maybe have it up for pre-order or something.

Oh, boy! Just when I had decided that the excitement over Cruwear had passed and I had missed out on this steel I had heard so many things about, this comes along. There have been WAY too many interesting offerings lately -- which I guess means I need to work some extra hours on these projects people are asking me to work on.

I had been consoling myself with the idea that my MT27 Mule in PD1 was as close as I was going to come to owning a blade in Cruwear.

You ain't kidding! I'm trying to slow down a bit myself, but I know I have about 6 knives to have sent email notifications once back in stock. They need to stop developing so many amazing knives!

Yes I got one preorder. I have a CF Manix 2 in Cruwear that is incredible. But, I think this could be my EDC going forward. "Could" is the big word lol. Very much looking foward to this
