Would already be happy to see that Knifecenter special in brown FRCP and CTS-XHP return for a start. :)blendergasket wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 10:47 pmThis! I would love to get an lw in an interesting, well balanced steel!
K390 Manix 2

The G10 backlock has thick G10 and thicker blade stock than the regular Manix's.guywithopinion wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 6:39 amI don't think it would be very light weight with a backlock. The G10 backlock weighs as much as the standard Manix in spite of being linerless. How much weight would frcp safe?
The LW backlocks work very well, look at the Native 5 or the Salts.

I have one of those but I find it chips a lot so I would love something a bit tougher.Joris Mo wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 1:30 pmWould already be happy to see that Knifecenter special in brown FRCP and CTS-XHP return for a start. :)blendergasket wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 10:47 pmThis! If you want something tougher, I think the 52100 KnifeWorks version is still available, and it's _very_ tough.

Re: K390 Manix 2
The native 5 lightweight is not much lighter than the linerless carbon fiber model. It's a lot lighter than the standard model because that has liners. I believe that is generally true of the salt models as well. In the Manix, the back lock appears to weigh as much as the liners did.Joris Mo wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 1:35 pmThe G10 backlock has thick G10 and thicker blade stock than the regular Manix's.guywithopinion wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 6:39 amI don't think it would be very light weight with a backlock. I thought the Manix used thicker blade stock because of the back lock, I'd assume a lightweight would be the same blade. I'd think a lightweight would still be in the PM2 ballpark of weight. But until they produce one I suppose we can only guess.

Re: K390 Manix 2
If they made that as a lightweight with a coated blade I would be super happy. I was just cutting the same carpet with my m4 manix that I did with the xhp and I didn't have any problems enev though the edge was much more accute than my xhp one was. The 52100 sounds amazing and it looks great with that color scheme. I saw knifexwnter has a pm2 in that steel too, but I'm saving for the cruwear when it comes out so the 52100s will have to wait.

I would definitely prefer something tougher, just think it's a shame that one is gone again.blendergasket wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 8:02 pmI have one of those but I find it chips a lot so I would love something a bit tougher.
That 52100 Knifeworks version would be great in FRCP!
Also still don't understand why there isn't a LW Cruwear Manix yet. (seems like a pretty sure seller to me)
(I'd definitely take M4 as well! :) )

I just preordered the Cruwear PM2. I'd love an LW to go along with it for when the PM2's extra 1/2 oz is too much extra weight for the trail.Joris Mo wrote: ↑Fri May 04, 2018 7:07 amI would definitely prefer something tougher, just think it's a shame that one is gone again.blendergasket wrote: ↑Thu May 03, 2018 8:02 pmI have one of those but I find it chips a lot so I would love something a bit tougher.
