This thread needs pictures. OP - did you get your knife yet? Looks like you posted that you ordered it on Friday!

@SpyderEdgeForever

Not easy to explain.
I never connected to thumbstuds.
Not so grippy, very hard to impossible to middlefinger flick.
No compression lock ;)

Annoying while sharpening. Sometimes impossible to really sharpen the edge.
Also makes the knife bigger.

Thumbhole:
ambidextrous
Thumb or middle finger
Slow or fast
Not in the way
Can be "waved"

Do you like thumbstuds.
What are your PROs on it?

Thank you. I prefer the Opening Hole. I wish I could remove the thumb studs on some folders that have them because the stud is abrasive to my thumb.

Like Evil D said, at that price too many boxes not ticked for me.

Beside that its hard to get here in Europe.
I had it once in my hand. Did not hear the angels sing.

Beside that - warranty:
(d) damage caused by disassembly, accident, abuse, misuse (e.g. use as screwdriver or pry bar), or other external cause, including damaged caused by excessive and/or aggressive blade flicking (rapid opening and closing of a folding knife);

I do not say its a bad knife.
Its there a long time ans still strong so but not for everyone.
I am very happy with my spyderholed friends.

I removed the thumbstuds on my crkt tighe tac two.

After cracked the glue it was just a screw.
With 2 pliers and some force it was possible.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions.

I was a little disappointed in my first small 21. Probably because of the hype, but I just never really connected with it. I finally sold it after a couple of years of trying to love it. The thumb studs take some getting used to for sure.

The three CRK I still have are a small Inkosi and Mnandi (both of wwhich I should probably sell as well for the same reasons), and a Umnumzaan, which I LOVE. It certainly wasn't love at first sight with The Boss, but it was love at first use. The weight and balance and ergos really work for me, and it is one **** of a cutting machine.

I considered buying the small 21 and or Inkosi, but I realized that I did not really want or need a small knife because I did not feel it would out do a Para 3 or the Caly 3. And it certainly cost a **** of a lot more. Good to hear about the Umnumzaan, because that is probably on my real short list of wants now.

OP - one thing you may notice is the detent ball dragging on the blade and it will make it not be as smooth. Mine has finally cut a half circle in the blade and I took it apart again last night and cleaned it up, and it is smooth as glass now. These knives require quite a bit of use to really break in

I just recently handled a large Inkosi with the Insingo blade shape. Fell in love with it but just couldn't get past the thumb stud, *IF* it would have had the thumb hole I would have walked out with it and dealt with the consequences later.......very very nice knife!

WOW! I “get” it now. Fantastic knife. Going to have to get use to the thumbstud though. I’ll post some more thoughts and pictures after I play with it a while longer. :)

Just unscrew the thumbstud. It's like a pencil sized hole, lol

Skipped the Sebenza and got a Mnandi, WOW still smile everytime I put it in my pocket. Don't use it as much as Spyderco knives. Probably the one blade I will never sell though.

For the style and size I'm happy with Spyderco

So after the first day of having this thing, it has fully grown on me. It took me a while to figure out a good way to open it with the thumb studs because it is not like any other knife with thumb lugs. Once we figured that out all is good. The smoothness and fit and finish is the best I have ever experienced on any knife. It really is that great. I won’t lie though, I seriously believe the Slysz Bowie is just as smooth and almost on the same level as the CRK. Here’s a pic for now, I’ll do a more detailed review later this weekend.

I've never had a CRK but my slysz bowie is smooth like glass. Makes all my other spydies seem sluggish.

Picked up a Inkosi Insingo as well. I’m pretty sure theirs no coming back from the CRK bug now.

It is the best feeling knife I have ever held in my hand. It just melts like a normal extension of my hand.
