My reccomendation would be for a slightly dressier re-run of this design. Perhaps polished dark grey or dark green g10?

+1
also +1 on dark grey G10 or may be better ==> British Racing Green G10 !

Super Blue Super Blue Super Blue :D :D :D
I only have sandwiched Super Blue, but I REALLY would like any other knife in integral Super Blue, and I am pretty sure they will go as fast as the light.

Please Sal just other intergral Super Blue blades, Caly or PM or DF (a small one could be great) or anything you could... :) :) :) THANKS

My wish would be for a Caly 3 & 3.5 with orange
scales and a solid blade in HAP40 (no cladding).
Please!

Burnt orange G10 with a solid (non-laminated) HAP40, Super Blue or Maxamet might just kill me. 10/10 would preorder so hard.

Would love to see a linerless G10 Sprint Caly 3.5 in any color or steel. I believe that Sal said they wouldn't be working with HAP40 in the future due to issues with warping.

We'll still work with HAP40, but probably not with Tanto blades. We're working on a FRN Caly 3.5, which will make more steels and colors available at lower prices.

Any chance of this also happening with the Caly 3?

Well, there is a nugget of insider information. Been waiting patiently for a new Caly 3.5 as I don't have one yet. Based on how much I enjoy Caly 3, this is great news.

A FRN Caly 3.5 (and delightful variants thereof) might very well be a Delica-killer :)

Wouldn't the 3.5 FRN be more of an Endura killer, and a Caly 3 FRN (if it happens) the Delica killer? I also think the Chaparral FRN is already a Delica killer since the Chaparral gets you XHP and a finger choil for only $13 more than the Delica.

You bite your tongue. Delica for life!

Funny that I replied to this thread originally back in 2015.

For the record I’ve always been on the lookout for a reason to add a caly to the stable.

Here’s some comparison pics of a Caly 3.5 and Delica (both Super Blue). They have the same closed handle length, and open, it’s no comparison. I’m very confident the Delica outsells the Endura by a large margin, so I don’t consider the Endura to be a contender here — it’s just too large (the Delica and Caly 3.5 to me are PM2-sized, the Endura is Military-sized). I’ve been one of the many agreeing that the Chap is a way better Delica, but the Caly (to me) is the Chap’s true predecessor (and the Sage design as well) as they are very similar in their handle shapes. I’m pretty sure Sal had the Caly in mind primarily when the Chap was conceived. :)

(The Delica scales here are off the original ZDP model. ;))

If you can't hold it in person, comparison shots do help in determining if a knife is right for you. The 3.5 is definitely for me.

Here is Caly 3 with Delica

Delica killer for sure....
Not really a Delica killer for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for FRN Calys but I'll still carry and use my Delicas. Like they say...all good, just different.

Sal,
Would K390 be an option on this one?
