I would have a hard time gardening with my sprint run Spydie. I'm sure it would do a great job though.

I agree, I am curious as to who uses their sprint runs for EDC. That being said, I have a few that I bought two of for that reason. Since I am a simple school teacher I am usually only able to afford one to add to my collection. :)

I'm also carrying and using mine. I already stripped the clip to bare ti and I've sharpened it. I'm carrying it right now. Not sure if I want to rit dye this one or leave it orange. The people that have been asking for this knife wanted it because of its performance. I've semi retired my old H1 spyderhawk for now.

I envy people that use 'em. I know that's what they're for. I get around to it, it just takes me a while. Gardening would take longer. If they're still available after my upcoming wedding, I'll get one, and carry it. It will cut boxes and stuff, but it won't see dirt for a long time. Silly, I know.

Put my first scratches on mine yesterday cutting dirty soaker hose to finish my landscape remodel. Now its officially a user.

We got acquainted through a round of minor mods, because the best way to keep something is to make sure you can't return it

For starters, everything should have a brushed spine, so the spine of the blade and lock bar got a nice brushing along with the inside of the thumb hole. I also lightly beveled and smoothed the inside edge of the FRN around the pivot in hopes that it will scratch the blade less from opening. It did at least make it smoother to open. I put a bit of grease in the pivot and it's nice and smooth.

I can't flip this knife no matter how I try so I really can't say if it's easier or not. I've even taken the blade out and polished the tang where the lock bar rides during opening, which did make it open smoother but not easier. I can however inertia open the blade with a firm wrist flick.

Nicely done Evil D. I did find it strange that the grind lines on the spine of my Spyderhawk run horizontally instead of vertically. I was thinking about doing this to mine too. Guess I will. Thanks.
