Don't worry, the super blue sprint isn't out yet.

I think it will be solid rather than laminated, based on the SB Calys from Moki, but I don't know if it's been officially confirmed anywwhere. The old frn Calypso Jrs are pinned at the pivot, hopefully that will be updated to torx if this run isn't laminated.

I won't worry about it too much even if it isn't though. As long as the knife isn't totally neglected, a little oil and the friction from opening and closing the blade should prevent corrosion from being a big concern (other than aesthetically). There are lots of pinned carbon steel traditionals out there still in use after decades.

Anyone have a rough guess as to what these will cost?

I wouldn't pre-order at this point. You're better off waiting until they start to drop then check the various dealers. Place your order when you find one in stock.

AFAIK unconfirmed. Here's a link to Knife Center's listing: https://www.knifecenter.com/item/SP52FP ... sprint-run

If accurate, it doesn't look to be laminated in the pictures nor does the description mention lamination. This also makes me super happy bc patina! Love me some patina.

Same here, Sharp Guy. Really hoping I'll be able to snag one - there's no way I can afford SB on the secondary market, and getting in on the legendary Calypso Jr. to boot... crossing all my fingers and toes!

Once the word is out that these are starting to drop, keep your eye on this thread and the forum in general. People usually post when dealers have something like this in stock. You should have no trouble getting one if you're vigilant.

This is the best advice for sprint hunters.
