I'm not getting one due to the price and liner lock, but I noticed that it was clad with 420 instead of the normal 410. I'm hoping this becomes standard for HAP40 cladding in all future models!

Jade handles really makes sense for a Chinese folder due to the Chinese historical reverence for the gemstone.
Nice observation.

I really want one, but $US209.95 + $US33.95 shipping = $US243.90 = $AU314.18 +.

So I'm tossing up will I, won't I.

I usually try to not make too many comments on other Spyderco collaborations outside of my own, but I can’t help myself on this one...

Is the price a bit high. Quite possibly, but...
An Iconic design from a legend in the field, delivered in a unique material set, all from my hands-down favorite knife brand...
Well, I pulled the trigger the minute it dropped, and with no regrets.

I agree. For a Bob Lum design, HAP40 and “jade” scales (I like them) it is not really over priced. If I could afford one I would have one on the way.

Yeah Bloke,

I'm a bit undecided over this one. Doesn't have the same feel as the earlier Lum Chinese Folders. I might wait a while and if they are still available I may, or may not, click BUY ?!?

You realize, of course, that when they are gone, they’ll be gone (except for the flipped ones on eBay) and you’ll be sobbing in your beer. ;)

Last time I checked, spyderco was still in business and ready to make more variants of their knives. If they are gone, sure, they are gone. But something else in the works. Have yet to sob in my beer over a knife.

The scales and price finally pushed me off the fence.. And i am a huge fan of Bob Lum's work.

I no doubt want one and like the big Pink Lum I have a lot more than I thought I would but it’s not a knife I carry very often and this new one looks so nice I’d be weary of knocking it around.

I’m not a collector and I’d rather spend the money on something I’d use more but it’s calling out to me ... I don’t know, I don’t know ...

I know. I am not a collector either but I really want Bob Lum design. I would be happy with more basic steel and even with plain Jane G10 scales. But, if I did have the money, I would already have one of these on order.

I would get one, but it's $50 more than it should be.

The pricing on this one stinks.
I’m tempted but just can’t seem to do it.
The hap40 delica with pakkawood scales is only $155. Where does the upcharge come from?

I've been all over the Golden made Jade models but passed on this and the Lum Tanto. Hoping they go back to focusing on the Golden models for future Jade releases. They still have the Native, Shaman, Para 3, and Lil Native to work their magic on, and I will be buying multiples of each of those!

Still in stock. Wonder how many they sold? I hope this doesn't affect their ability to order more exclusives since they are possibly sitting on 10s of thousands of dollars in unsold inventory. Maybe they will stick to the Golden models and M4 going forward since they are hot sellers. Still plenty to do in that space.

Native 5 (coming soon...hopefully both Satin and DLC)
Manix Backlock
Military DLC
Lil Native compression
Lil Native backlock
Para 3
Shaman

Then maybe come up with a cool new FRN color and do exclusives in the lightweight Native and Manix models with M4! Is there such a thing as natural FRN? :D

They can sell these pretty easy if they put them on sale and drop the price. The pricing is way off and just seems greedy. Knock off $30 and I’m pretty sure I would get one.

I agree with SFNative. As much as I would like to have a Lum Chinese design, it seems overpriced. It would still be out of my price range, but I think they would sell more of them.

I'm waiting for them to bundle it with another knife like they've done with other slow selling exclusives. I just hope they do a delica or a dragonfly like they've done with a couple recent bundles.

Yeah, I smell a bundle coming! :) I picked up a number of the Militarys when they were bundled with the Squarehead. Not gonna get this one though, unless it is bundled with an M4 Native...lol
