Re: Smaller chokwe
White scales please, enough Blacks and Greys
White is what this knife would look great in. It's not a work horse style knife if it was small I think about more of a neat design for looks (that would get looked after so no need to worry about scales getting dirty )
As someone mentioned a office Apple knife ( in not threatening white )
Did I mention White.....

Would Almite be an option?

I can count on your vote for a Almite Chokwee then :)

Re: Smaller chokwe
I would prefer the ti comp lock back with a solid polished G-10 presentation side, however I could get behind a vote for Almite, especially if we can get some green.Larry_Mott wrote: ↑Wed Apr 04, 2018 11:01 amI can count on your vote for a Almite Chokwee then :)

Re: Smaller chokwe
Compression lock, deep carry wire clip, G10 scales. Maybe S30V or S35Vn for the blade steel. It's not as exotic as some of the newer stainless steel out there but Spyderco seems to have the heat treat dialed in great. S30V would also help keep the price down compared to something like Maxamet. Heck I think it would be awesome in VG-10 too

This might be a stupid question; is it possible to have a compression lock with FRN handles?

Re: Smaller chokwe
I think one of the biggest selling issues for the last Chokwe was the price due to half of the knife being titanium.
If it can be made with a compression lock (or liner lock even) and keep the price down, that sounds awesome.

Re: Smaller chokwe
Handle material: anything except standard rough G10 would be awesome. So many spydies I want buy but I can't because the sandpapery G10 texture does not agree with my pants pocket. If it must be G10, I request smooth G10, it can look quite nice, doesn't kill your pants, and it is still adequately grippy.
A good example of smooth G10 is the boker tech tool. Something similar to this would look great on many spydercos:

Re: Smaller chokwe
To stay true to the original Chokwe knife style, the mahogany Pakkawood used in the Delica and Endura sprints would be really cool. I vote for CTS-XHP with a compression lock, but also think a backlock or even CBBL would be interesting.
It would be the first wooden handled, compression lock that Spyderco has made, I think. Plus, it would be beautiful.

Re: Smaller chokwe
Oh I would be up for a Chokwe model in a somewhat smaller size>> but I would not buy one if they use S30V steel again. Please make one but use some other blade steel please!!>> I do believe that model would be great with S90V, S110V, M390 or even 204P. As far as handles go I would prefer something like Carbon Fiber as my first pick for a design like that. But I could easily live with G-10>> but I would be more picky about the blade steel than I would the handle.
Also try to make a few in Spyderedge if possible.

Re: Smaller chokwe
I'm gonna second JD on the steel choices (k390 as well)
