I don’t know why but the roadie appeals to me..
It’s like nothing I own and really I’m not a slip joint guy for the most part but there is something about that little sheepie blade and forward choil that tickles me.
How many of you lot have one?

Had one and sold it. It looked nice, but wasn't filling any uses for me. Too thick to be a slicer for me.

I have one. It is in my pocket constantly. It is great for those tasks for which I normally need a pocket knife.

I have one and I love it. I'll admit if it was thinner it would certainly be more ideal in use. That being said, overall a great lil knife that gives a surprisingly solid grip because of that forward Choil, as well as, I love the opening dent vs a nail nick. Great knife that lives in my pocket

I like the Roadie, though I also agree I wish it were thinner like a Ladybug. I'm guessing maybe it's necessary to accommodate the "double dent" opening divot...? But otherwise, a thinner grind and maybe a sprint or two in a steel with better edge holding would be pretty great.

It’s the ultimate urban carry, as it’s barely recognisable as a knife at all! It’s thickness means it’s not the worlds best slicer, but it’s ideal for slitting open packets, clamshells and all those domestic type chores with the added advantage of a fairly robust tip.

I keep one clipped to the key ring of my purse as a just in case kind of thing. It's guaranteed to be safe and unobtrusive enough to take out and use no matter where I am.

Holy smokes, that is a great picture for scale. I had no idea the roadie was so tiny. Course, the numbers don’t really tell you how big a para3 is either. Thanks for the pic!

It is a very capable little knife, I actually had to use mine a couple of weeks ago in Germany to cut some nylon straps that we used to package a machine. Cutting them with scissors was taking us ages, then I found out that I forgot my Roadie in my pocket (I almost never travel with knives on me) and it took me nothing to cut through those belts. I couldn't believe how easy it was, it was impressive. One of my favorite Spyderco designs bar none

What do you think about a roadie as a kids first knife? Or second... I already got my 6 year old a 4” santoku since she likes to help prep & cook!

IMHO, I think it looks 'innocent' but it is sharp (well, yes I know knives are meant to be sharp), and because of this it might not get the respect it deserves when compared with something that looks like it could cut you if you were not careful. YMMV.

I only have the black one as of today.
Might get some other colors, but I'll have to carry it more often before I do...
It's a lovely little knife, but it just doesn't get carried often
As a small backup knife, it has some stiff competition from the Kiwi, Manbug, Baby Jess Horn, etc.

I love my roadie, but was wondering if anyone else noticed the blade will touch the back spacer if squeezed slightly while closed. Mine has a clear line inside from occasional contact.
