MXG Clip

Post by gull wing »

Got it in Saturday. This is a much better product than I expected. Great finish(got the plain), every curve and edge is perfect.
I ordered this to fit the Para 3 and see if I liked it before ordering the Para 3.
Well, it's a good fit, ordered the Para 3 today. :)

They are similar. I have both and I tend to prefer the Lynch clip, especially now that he makes a Para3 specific clip that is off set and doesn't cover any of the lanyard hole. BHQ them in stock.

I bought a 52100 PM2 on the secondary market. It came with one of these clips. I don't know why, but I am not a big fan of it. I switched back to the standard clip. I don't miss the deep carry.

This clip is best for Para 3, I think a PM 2 has too much handle for a deep carry.
Anyway, the MXG is a great fix.

The long clips are very similar. For the short clips I much prefer the Lynch. I'm sure the MXG short clip is perfectly functional but it looks like a duck bill.

IDK if its bc i haven't used knives that dont have low rider clips, but the clip on my PM2 is pretty perfect. Im interested in a MXG clip for how it looks.

I don't mind the stickout on the PM2 or Manix 2 but the PM3 def needs this clip

The clip is for a Para 3, that is Spyderco.

Speaking of clips, and of changing them, I often replace the "flat" type Spyderco clip with another Spyderco or one I fab'ed out of titanium usually a shorter one. The one I never change though is the wire clip, love it.

Totally agree on the manix 2 and Para 3 assessment. My first PM2 was delivered today. Will find out if deep carry is required or not.

You already have the clip for it? I honestly haven't tried one on my PM2 but when I got the PM3, I didn't really want to carry it with out it.

Just gonna move a deep carry clip over from my s30v para3. Will post pics once it's on. Might stick with stock clips in tip up orientation to see how that rides in locket. First for a few days.

But I did order some new clips to try.

My new Lynch NW Para 3 arrived today. Threw it on the Cruwear P3 and figured I would share a comparison with the MXG shorty.

Lynch clip looks nice.
It's longer than the MXG.

These MXG clips look very nice and I think they're reasonable priced. However, the shipping costs to Europe (40$) make it a no deal for me.
