What a classic! My dad has a Paul knife. It’s like the Jaguar XKE, an evergreen design that has aged well.Larry_Mott wrote:I have a nice (IMO) Gerber..

You guys crack me up... Thank you for the humor and your interest in what I carry. Although it's evolved a bit since this was published (and does not include a back pocket Wharncliffe Delica 4), it looks something like this:

I won't ask how has it evolved or if you changed something that felt wrong in it,
because we all know that the only time that Michael Janich was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistake

I like the **** out of the smaller Yo2...and I am not the grinding type. Would that ever be offered on Stay Safe? Or as a full production option?
Re: Sal, Mike Janich, would it be too forward?
The bobbed Yo2 is cool :D

Stay Safe isn't really pursuing knife sales these days, but if there was enough interest, I might consider offering them direct... As for production, that's above my pay grade...twinboysdad wrote:I like the **** out of the smaller Yo2...and I am not the grinding type. Would that ever be offered on Stay Safe? Michael Janich, out of the new upcoming Spyderco knives to be released, what are some of your favorite that you personally are looking forward to making use or or carrying? Would you carry a Spyderco Caribbean and use that as an EDC knife at some point? I am excited about the lc200n stainless steel blade and the G10 handle in those colors and patterns. That is a winning design, would you agree, sir?

I'm guessing that what Sal carries is often something he can't really divulge to us yet, though he has mentioned on occasion.

I think Paul W. Poehlmann patented it as Axial lock. A very intricate construction that apparently got too expensive to produce.

Not sure how, but I just joined the forum a few weeks back and ended up scoring lil’ Yojimbo 2.
Thought it was a fake or a fluke. Could find anything on it until I posted a thread asking about it.
This needs to be made, especially in all black.....stealthy

I know a custom maker that could easily do that mod.

He can make wood by rubbing two fires.

I know Mr. Janich makes onions cry whenever he slices them with his Yojimbo :D
btw Mike, you mentioned in the article that a SAK swisschamp is more versatile than a pliers-style MT. As a swisschamp and LM-MT owner I'm really interested in your opinion, care to explain or cite some examples why it is so?Michael Janich wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2018 7:23 amYou guys crack me up... Re: Sal, Mike Janich, would it be too forward?
My typical daily pocket dump (all pockets) wold include;
LFP - cell phone, 10X folding loupe, keys (cut down to save weight and space), lip gloss (dry in Colorado and my skin is so dry that when I walk into a room, I change the humidity), eye drops (dry eyes). Often a 2nd knife.
RFP - wallet, knife,
LRP - left blank (not good to sit on much stuff all day), a place to put loose change I get back. Gail collects the change for the grand kids. Usually a smaller PC knife like a Man Bug or a Roadie.
RRP - a few "cop coins" to give out to cops and military as I see them. I thank them for their service as I give them a coin. Usually greatly appreciated.
Shirt - company electronic key, pen, vitamins.
Nothing exotic. I do haul around a briefcase that has lotsa other necessary daily stuff. I guess I just sorta an average guy.

:D You are NOT kidding. Especially in winter. Great for not rusting carbon steels, though.
