Thinner, slicier blade and wire clip would both be good changes. Pointer tip - I still have a D3 and like that point, but much prefer the D4 handle. I like a pointy blade in general (Mili is my most carried field and chore knife), but the D4 tip seems a little safer to me when accidental punctures are a concern.

The FFG Delica is already on the thin side when you use it for work, if such changes were to be made I believe we'd see a lot of people complaining about broken tips and snapped blades. I've myself changed from the FFG to the Saber ground when working on a project that required a lot of knife use.

I have a Chaparrel in CF and wire clip and like it a lot. It is my office carry.
I agree that the Delica does not need a thinner blade nor a wire clip, those are just preferences. I think most small knives can work well with a deep carry wire clip and I would buy after market clips for that purpose, if they existed. I did put deep carry clips on some of my Delicas (I have several and plan to get the Wharncliffe in Hap40 when it is out). The thing about a somewhat thinner blade - why not? It improves cutting performance without losing anything you need in a 3" blade! Not when we have modern steels to work with. But if it stays the way it is, that is fine too (except I don't likfe VG10, which I simply don't buy in favor of steels I like better). Lots of choices, and no compelling need to change the Delica.

just my two cents on a Delica 5, a finger choil ala Dragonfly 2, a deep carry dull finish wire pocket clip, more exotic sprint runs (would like to make Delica my platform for testing of different steels),get rid of the exposed blade tang and last lets see the steel quality go up to something with equal corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening as VG10 but one which is tougher with better edge retention as a standard model steel for the Delica 5.
