Lost USB-stick but found it!!!

#1

Post by Shiden »

Sorry for my euphory, but...

Today I lost my USB-stick in the library of the hospital where I work. I just let it in the computer and forgot about it, but discovered two hours later that it wasn't in my bag. When I went back to the computer it was gone... :(

There was a lot of information on it concerning two researchprojects I was working on and other important stuff concerning personal things, committees I am involved in etc. :o

So I was really, really concerned, almost freaking out.

But five minutes ago a girl called me and told me that she had found the USB-stick and forgotten to return it! :D

She will give it back next monday! :)

I remember the days when I used to keep everything in a 3 ring binder.

Then a spiral notebook.
Then a 3.5" floppy.
Then a Iomega zip drive.
Then a USB key.

Certainly, I never lost the bigger storage units. Can't wait till they implant a hard drive into my pinky toe (not sure why I picked the pinky toe). Then I'll never lose it.

Be sure to keep all the data on your stick encrypted. Takes just a few seconds, and keeps your data safe in case you lose the stick.
