First Knife of 2018

What's catching your fancy to be your first spydie purchase in this new year? I'm trying to choose betwen the KC Native 5 and maybe Sliverax, or holding out for that DLC M4 Manix. Choices, choices...

Hmm, that just complicated my decision process.

I bought it last year, but my fluted cf native will be here soon. First knife I plan on buying in 2018 is the Rhino.

Most likely a Caribbean as it's the only one that's really on my radar at the moment.

I'm looking for something a little smaller than my SE PM2. Only by a little. That CF fluted Native is smoking. That looks like the next one for me.

Caribbean
:bug-red-white I collect them all, and use them all! I use the excuse, "I'm trying to find the perfect one", but in reality, they are all perfect in their own way!

A (yet to be announced) dealer exclusive version of the Shaman. I have no insider knowledge. Just wishful thinking.

Still have 5 Spydercos in the mail but they were ordered last year so don’t count. ;)

The Caribbean looks great to me and will very likely be my next Spyderco. Still thinking about pulling the trigger on a discounted Southard before they are gone though.

Strangely, I also have a disturbing urge to own a Matriarch or a Civilian. I just love the blade shape for when in the woods. The Civilian is likely too much knife for me and the Matriarch is also much less expensive.

I would bet Caribbean though.

Same here. Before that I had been looking at either a S110V Para 3 or Native 5. May have to get both of these as well. :D

Won the auction on a gold pearl Kiwi and bought a NIB 75mm Persian (old one with bolsters+micarta to complete the collection of the Persian, Red Persian and Kris) a few hours ago :D Good day for me, very bad day for the wallet!

Pretty big coincidence, but they're still out there, just bought the smaller one today!
A tiger has claws.
A wolf has teeth.
An eagle has talons.
We, have Spyderco.

Looks like it'll be the BBS M390 Para 3 and the BBS Lil' Matriarch for me. After this it should be one of the sprint run knives I have on pre-order. Calypso Jr SB, Delica Wharncliffe HAP40, Delica Vtoku-2, Dragonfly Vtoku-2, or Manbug Vtoku-2. Whichever drops first should be next...I hope.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

Cara Cara 2 for my new work knife. Just gotta decide if I want FRN or G10, CE or PE...

I also have a Spyderhawk and SB Caly Jr on pre-order. Somehow got the $38 price on the latter.

I am ahead of you. I pulled the trigger on KC Native yesterday. It will be the first :spyder: , which I will receive in 2018.
The first, which I will buy will be Rhino or ATR2, depends on which will come out the first.
"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf"

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian
