Three Manix 2 models ended the year for me. The BladeHQ Exclusive with CPM M4 was a very welcome edition, then a pair of black G-10 with liners and S30V blades were purchased and the S30V blades were swapped out and replaced with Maxamet. Love the conversion, and it turned out great.

Now I have a pair of brand new S30V Manix 2 blades looking for a home.

2017 turned out to be a pretty good year for new Spydies.

Waddya think of the Ladybug Hawkbill Salt?

My wife got me one for Christmas. Such a useful little knife and the blade is perfect IMO.
Love it. It's a box opening machine.

Two "backups": a second K2 and a second Hundred Pacer. God knows what they'll run for in a year or two, and I couldn't imagine life without them :)

My last Spyderco knife of 2017 was the DLT Trading exclusive ParaMilitary2 M390 Red G-10. Great price of $139.95 shipped in quantities of 2+. I doubt we'll see any such values in the future.

A pre-owned Stretch FRN HAP40. It's funny, but in trying out different Spyderco's to find the select few models to best meet my needs (professional and personal), all roads lead back to the Stretch 1. I'm not even enamored with the looks but functionally it's perfect. For a while there I thought the Para 2 was the "one," until one opened in my packet. Now my preference is for knives with positive, spring-loaded blade retention, although I'll probably still carry detent-based knives off duty at times.

Delica Damascus titanium will likely do it for me this year! Ive already browsed the 2018 catalog, have about 20 new spydies planned for the new year!
:bug-red-white I collect them all, and use them all! I use the excuse, "I'm trying to find the perfect one", but in reality, they are all perfect in their own way!

Just pulled the trigger on a Tighe Stick. DLT has them for $190 and since it's being discontinued I went for it. :)

Nice. I haven't gone for seconds yet, but each day I get close to taking the plunge. Mine has been in my pocket most days since September. Are both of yours good samples?
