You probably got a used knife. Notify the seller, ask for a return authorization and to credit you for another knife or refund.

Thanks for you advice, problem is i live in Sweden and i pay $23 every time it crosses the border to Sweden otherwise sending the knife back would be the ideal thing to do.

Looks alright to me. Spyderco's foam inlay (as opposed to the clones) never fit the box. Most of the time the chinese foam fits "wall to wall" and is opaque. Spyderco's is denser. Besides, i have never seen nor heard of value line copies.

If you are worried about getting a fake; buy from a smaller retail store that specializes in knives. They have a reputation to maintain and would never willingly sell you a fake. These include (but are not limited to) National Knives, Knife Center, Blade HQ, Cutlery Shoppe, and Knife Works.
