Just got a notification that my Slysz Bowie has shipped and should arrive tomorrow.

On an unrelated note, yesterday I received an Opinel slimline No. 12 with a bubinga handle. A beautiful knife for $25.

Police 4. As much as I love the military, it is not a potato peeler. It was the 3mm blade stock that won me in the end. I had to try it out. It helps that I like lock backs and the steel was K390 (I love 10v, love it!). Also, it was the right size.

I love the Chinook 4 that came about the same time. We'll see about this one.

Battlestation from DLT, they have them for $119 and I had an $18 store credit so I figured it was a good deal for a discontinued model. :)

Slysz Bowie from KC. One popped up out of nowhere on Sunday evening, turns out someone cancelled their order. Lady from customer service called it a Christmas miracle when I called to confirm it was actually in stock.

This was in the mail earlier today, now it's not!

Stoked to have some Golden peel-ply cf again. Also stoked that I stumbled on this second on Ebay at a price I could live with. Looked it over pretty closely and couldn't find anything I'd find unacceptable on a first, except the notch. :)

Way'ta step outside the comfort zone norms.
I like finding sleeper models that end up working really well for me.

I'm assuming you meant that the Battlestation and Vrango were two models you ended up enjoying?

sorry my wording could've been better. I didn't like the Battlestation or Vrango enough to carry them. at the end of the day I just can't quit buying and loving ffg lightweight and thin/small knives so I'm trying to branch out more. hopefully this lil sub hilt will change my mind.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

I really like the Sub-hilts and I'd love to add the Lil version to my collection. I haven't considered buying one because I have the feeling it'll end up being more of a show piece instead of something that I'll actually carry. Maybe one of these days I'll pick one up anyway.

Loving my Camo Para 3 so much that I just ordered another Para 3 but with the SpyderEdge.

Came with a free Dog Tag Folder, which is really cool.

well... it's very beautiful and well made but it is too heavy for my needs. maybe the Lil native and rhino can be my ways of having a heavier knife (lil native) and a different type of blade shape (up swept on the rhino) but still fulfilling my smaller knife requirement.

At 5.2 oz it's definitely no light weight. I prefer lighter knives too but I do carry heavier stuff once in awhile. Kind of pricey for me for something I'll only carry occaisionally.
