C22 Michael Walker in 2019

The C22 Michael Walker is my favorite Spyderco collaboration ever, so this is really exciting. For me, the C22 epitomizes a Spyderco 'little big knife'. Compact, capable, and high performance.

The original C22 was quite a feat that pushed what a production knife could be at the time. It featured some of the best materials available, including what I believe was the first use of carbon fiber in a production knife. Manufactured in Switzerland by Klötzli Knives, the C22 was practically a custom-level knife in terms of fit and finish (and nearly price).

Just to continue the conversation, what would you want to see in a new C22 sprint in terms of materials? And what changes, if any, would you make to the design?

Personally, I'd love to see a marbled/forged CF as a nod to the original and 2010 sprint. Oh yes, and a deep-carry wire clip. :D

I love this knife and regret selling mine. It was just sitting in my drawer and the money seemed more important at the time. I'd buy any new version they put out. Tip up wire clip would be awesome.

I'm not offended, but feel that a Walker with any other lock type is missing the point by a mile :)

You are probably right. As much as I would like an Emerson wave and CBBL lock on that knife, it wouldn't really be a "Walker" in the traditional sense anymore.

Probably my favorite Spyderco that I've never owned.
I would buy several and prefer hap40 if made in Japan, M4 if not... tip down solid clip, G10, PE, and of course liner lock.

One of my favorite Spyderco's! The clip can be improved upon for the rest it is pretty good the way it was with cf and zdp.

Talk about a respectful style of management.

When Sal says, "I'll put in a request..." can you imagine anyone responding, "Well, let me think about that; maybe, maybe not."
Even if they have to think about it and juggle production schedules.

Looking forward to this one. For the blade, would prefer ZDP-189 but Super Blue would be ok too. Keeping the knife elegant with micarta scales would be nice.

I remember when this knife first came out. It was when I first heard of Spyderco. I wanted this knife pretty bad. Right about the same time I broke my hip and didn't look at knives for a long time. When I wanted to buy a knife again I remembered the Spyderco name but not the knife. I ended up buying 3 Spydercos a para 2, manix 2, and a native 5. And so that's how my addiction started with Spyderco.

Anyway I wonder where this knife will be made. I would like m390 and carbon fiber. Excited to see this will knife will be made again. I'm sort of a steel snob so the steel will influence my choice buy or not.
