That's a nice Halloween knife! Hope they go on sale before the end of October.

I wouldn't be surprised if they timed that just right.

I got mine in today. Satin bladed.... the knife was absolutely perfect but I had one disappointment. The orange didn't match the s90v Manix 2 LW they just put out. It's a tad darker. Both oranges are great but the orange on my matching set doesn't quite match. I'm sure a normal person might not notice but ****, I'm a little ocd. Still, both knives are brilliant and I don't regret buying them by any means. If I have time I'll try to get a pic if u guys are interested.

Yup, the Native is a little more "matte" in my opinion. I like it, especially with Halloween coming up.

I'd say the manix has a bit more yellow in the mix.

I'm going to try to hold out for a Manix 2 like this ^^^ -- or maybe two -- one to keep original and one for a blade swap into a G-10 handle.
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

I'm sure it's quite a challenge to try to match colors in two different materials like FRN and FRCP, but vive la difference :p

Off topic, but thinking of Manix' and Natives; if Spyderco made a Native with the translucent blue FRCP... I would buy 10

If you haven't seen the blue FRN S110V Native you might want take a look. It's not translucent of course, and I only got a brief glimpse of one, but it was a nice lighter shade, I think, than the S110V Manix.

Now if they would just bring out an orange DLC S90V Manix 2

This is just me, and I love the orange, but that orange and black combo looks as tacky as all get out.
- best wishes, Jazz.

I'll admit it's definitely offbeat, however it's the only dlc plain edge native available.

I like the orange and black combo, but the real reason I'm buying this knife is so I can switch the scales to black ones and finally have a plain-edge twin to the serrated DLC Native that is my EDC. I wish Spyderco would just offer plain-edge DLC blackout Natives as an option from their store, but they don't and so I'm doing the next best thing. :) :spyder:

It is downright uncanny how similar our tastes in knives are Jazz...I didn't want to say it, but agree.

I didn't either, but I really do think the normal bladed one looks fabulous in that orange, if that helps matters. ;)
- best wishes, Jazz.
