Happy to finally have this little guy in my pocket. I received this one almost a year ago and it had pretty severe centering issues right out of the box. The blade would hit the show side liner when I closed the knife. I intended to send it in to W&R to have them look at it but I just never got around to it. So it's been in the box since last December. With the Firefly being discontinued and on sale at a few dealers it renewed my interest in the knife. I thought about sending it in but decided to take it apart and see if I could correct. It turns out the lock bar was putting way too much pressure on the side of the blade and it was pushing it into the liner. It took a little trial and error adjusting the lock bar so that the lock up was perfect but all is good now. The blade is now centered when closed and it locks up tight. I like this little tank of a knife!

Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

I like that little knife. Simple and pleasing shapes. Rarely hear much about the Carey designs on this forum for some reason...
Amazing how initial reaction, reviews, and critiques of the Positron were rather unexciting and actually quite harsh, from what I remember... Also a lot of disappointment from those who just wanted a smaller lil Southard flipper.
But now, all of a sudden with the price dipping (and expectations low?) many nontypical buyers of this size/style of knife are finding a good solid match in this little knife.
Really makes me wonder how many designs have this same fate, but just died out before people got to try it first-hand without any expectations going in?
