I was helping my son with spelling, Kindergarten stuff, and the word "spider" came up. Naturally, I spelled it Spyder. And then my wife asks how I spelled it, and I said with confidence - s p Y d e r. Like, Duh, that is how you spell it. I had no idea I was wrong, she had to correct me in front of my Son - basic english at the K level.

I finished a trade at 19yrs old and from then till I was 40yrs old I was a steel erector/rigger (I think you blokes call us high iron workers) then I erected and dismantled Favco/Favelle Tower Cranes for a while and finally operated them on High Rise Construction till I gave it all away and got the desk jockeys job I have now. :rolleyes:
Anyhow, it’s my long winded way of saying when I started in the job I have now (Mechanical Design Draftsman) I had to relearn how to spell even the simplest of words. I still struggle but back when I first started I used to type words that even Spell Check couldn’t recognise. :eek:
Now I are a exeptionel spella and I use very good granma and my England has impooved allot two. :cool:
