Pinned Para and Mili ?
When are we going to see the Para in the new CQI pinned version? and what about the base Mili in S30V?
Re: Pinned Para and Mili ?
FYI, the new Military is not "pinned" in the way you might be thinking it is. That is to say, it is not riveted like a Manix 2 Lighweight is "pinned", the stop pin is a solid machined piece that is captured between the scales/liners and is floating in place, whereas a typical "pinned construction knife" like a Lightweight or a Caly 3 for example are essentially riveted together and cannot be disassembled without drilling those "pins" out.
But to answer your question, who knows. They may not feel it's necessary on the Para 2/Yojimbo 2, or it may just take time to roll out.

Re: Pinned Para and Mili ?
When I first saw the para 3 pinned version I was concerned it was riveted like A manix lightweight which would make disassembly impossible but did some research before I purchased any of these newer models and was happy to find out its not riveted and free floating. I have 2 para 3's now and several mili's in this newer version but noticed the regular S30V mili isn't out yet in this version or the para yet.Evil D wrote:FYI, the new Military is not "pinned" in the way you might be thinking it is. I guess calling them Pinned isn't really correct, should refer to them as the free floating stop pin models.
