I bought one from CS when they were "available" and I'm a little annoyed that this appears to just be a preorder, despite no verbiage explaining that. I bought mine on the 10th and I haven't gotten a shipping notice yet, or anything about the status changing from "awaiting fulfillment". My bank account has been charged for it though, which if this is a pre-order is even less cool.

I keep waiting for my email notifications to come in. I feel like a kid before Christmas. ;)

I really like these Shamans.

Compared to the ParaMilitary2, it looks to be more comfortable in the hand due to the contouring of the G-10, easier access to the compression lock and not as wide when closed.

I think it's worth the extra $24 over the PM2.

Of course, I’m a big Native5 fan so perhaps biased.

Curiously, GP Knives calls it Large Shaman! I wonder if we’ll see a Small Shaman with a 3” blade length like the Native5...

Trying to resist for the moment, but this really looks like a great knife to beat on. I'll pull the trigger eventually. Curious to hear what others think about the size and weight.

I like the fact that there's a fully serrated version straight from get-go, that has become a rare sight with new Spyderco designs.

Agreed. Not sure it could replace my Manix 2 or Sliverax but it looks like a winner to me.
