The Para 3 looks like the product of a classic Spyderco skriinkage. Disproportionately wide, stubby blade. That said, I'd be at least curious if the clip weren't mounted far from the end of the knife to make room for a lanyard hole that almost no one uses.

I like both. I think the Para3 length is better for EDC but it is thick compared to a Delica or similar.

If don’t have any restrictions about blade length in you area I would with Para2. Blade length can be a huge difference in some situations like a diagonal cut through a branch. But if you are worried about draw and people around be scary with blade length or overal length I would suggest you a Delica 4. Delica 4 looks more proportional blade length/handle length than Para 3. Actually I carry a Military and a Grasshopper. Grasshopper for small tasks and the Millie, well, the Millie is for heavy use and abuse.

Definitely two different knives. Due to the shorter blade geometry, the P3 comes across as more stout, but the handle is very pocketable. The PM2 definitely feels better in my hand and allows me to chock up a little more comfortably. Neither of them with G10 are the best choice, I wish Spydie would chamfer the edges on those scales already like the Delica.

Anyway, if I could only choose one, it would be the PM2, but for camping and daily tasks, the PM3 is easier to carry, and that stout blade (could be an illusion) inspires confidence. :)

Thankfully I can have both, but I'm leaning towards the Para3 as my favorite between the two.

I carry and love both. For general work and EDC, I like the stouter blade and smaller form of the Para 3. It is a workhorse and carries easily. I will admit, though, that I didn't like or carry the knife at all until I purchased and installed a Casey Lynch Short Clip in place of the ridiculous factory clip. This changed everything and made the Para 3 my five-day-a-week carry.

I do like my PM2 even more. I grab it on the weekend as it is splendid as an outdoor knife, food prep knife or for cleaning birds. I like the handle length better and I believe the blade shape and length to be about perfect in a folder.

I prefer the Spyderco Para Military 2 because of the longer blade length. I liked the original Spyderco Para Military when I first received one, but when the Para Military 2 came out with its longer blade, it became my favorite of the two.
