Caly Jr. Sprint
Re: Caly Jr. Sprint
I'm super keen on trying Super Blue in this package, but HAP-40 or H1 would please me too!
I dream of having a Caly Jr. SALT!

Re: Caly Jr. Sprint
My vote was for Super Blue, but I do not like the lamination (e.g. on my Stretch). I was thinking that it couldn't be possible to have Super Blue un-laminated blades, then I've seen this photo here on Forum (not mine obviously, thanks @xceptnl whom I stealed from  )
It is a Caly I suppose, and it has full Super Blue it seems. So is it possible ? :D :D :D
Could be awesome.
Could someone more experienced in steels explain to me more about Japan Paper steels and their lamination or not?
Thanks all :spyder:

I was half asleep when I saw this post earlier and didn't fully read it as my eyes hadn't adjusted but I thought to myself, that patina looks just like mine did years ago. :DJumpin'Spyder wrote:My vote was for Super Blue, but I do not like the lamination (e.g. on my Stretch). Also it seems that an integral Super Blue blade could work, isn't it? :)

Re: Caly Jr. Sprint
It does seem reasonable to me, but i am always willing to pay premium for the steels I want.

More eye candy to keep the interest flowing...
Custom grind on this one. Appleseed on the front and factory hollow on the back.

Re: Caly Jr. Sprint
I'm on board for any Caly Jr. variant. That was the first Spyderco I ever bought back around 2000 and still my second fav model after Caly 3. In fact, I was lucky enough to be browsing ye ol' auction site at the right time to snag this handsome fella and he was waiting in my mailbox when I got home from work today. Welcome to the family, Mr. Micarta. :)

Congrats!!
I've had a casual eye out for a C52BMP for a long time. Not not consisitently enough I guess, b/c I keep missing them lol.

That's an impressive collection Tomboy. It rivals most anyone's. Which version is your favorite?AlwaysTomboy wrote:

Re: Caly Jr. Sprint
The Stainless Caly Jr. is sort of a forgotten Classic. I liked it so much that I propose that they even do a Sprint Run of the old Stainless Caly Jr in PE & SE both just like the original.
The Micarta version would be my second pick. Now I could do without the hollow grind like the original stainless model was beccause I do like full flat grind just a bit better. And FFG seems to work much better in SE too.
Or have we considered a Carbon Fiber handle? Or would that make it too pricey?

You guys are killing me  I only have two with burgundy frn scales in ZDP189 laminated and both have collector's club numbers so they are both safe queens.I only wish I had one dedicated user, maybe one in VG10.I hope and pray Sal is not toying with us ....

Go ahead and flip a coin then use one of those two, you don't know what you're missing.elena86 wrote:You guys are killing me  I only have two with burgundy frn scales in ZDP189 laminated and both have collector's club numbers so they are both safe queens.I only wish I had one dedicated user, maybe one in VG10.I hope and pray Sal is not toying with us ....

Marius, I agree with Landon. You need to use one of them! Mine is a CC version too
