No, they usually get 3 or 4 backups ;) :D
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod

I owned several Millies and still have two and always felt and still feel that it is huge. Caly3/Native5 combo works for me for the last year just great. Prior to this I carried Caly3.5 instead of Caly3 and it was great as well.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

abba, this is the exact same position that I am in. I had planned to pick this up once it went on sale, but $250 is still a whole bunch for a model that I have 6 copies of (admittedly none with the RIL or S90V). Not sure if I will be able to to hold out all weekend!
Finally caved in on this one I was going to skip this one @ $279... but the sale did me in.. still pricey but a whole lot of knife.

Decided to skip. I have one and just makes no sense, for me anyway, to buy a second copy of a knife when there are still knives I have never had out there still to get. If money were no object, probably would. My luck I would order it and a day later the Shaman drops. Crap like that happens all the time to me. Best to be patient and content with just one of each I like. If I lose it or gives out, oh well, at least I got to enjoy it.

I pretty much agree. You never know when another will come out that you like even better. I've only bought an exact backup a couple of times, but I've got up to ll of my favorite model (Manix 2) with various steels, scales, liners, etc. Someday, when I decide that I've got the perfect knife, I may grab a backup or two. But some people will get 3 or 4 identical yellow Pacific Salts etc :D

I have 6 Pacific Salts, but they're all black ;)

I like buying back-ups of favorites that are discontinued. Szabo folder, Police 3, Pacific Salt etc. With knives still in production I rarely get a duplicate.

If money were no object, I would try to keep a mint version of my favorites or maybe buy some dupes as investments... but money has always been an object ;)

Ok, it's not a "crazy" deal, but it's a pretty nice discount... You can get the Polestar for $45 + shipping from Massdrop if you waiver the case. It's 55% of MSRP.

I think starting a separate Massdrop thread might help this thread out. Then people can ignore the Massdrop thread that already subscribe to their email blasts, and people can post their friending links over there instead of here.
