"I heard early on that many were looking for numbers that matched their 'badge' numbers too."
Yup, I was able to snag #741 (my radio call-sign). The knife sits proudly on display on my desk, and comes out to ride with me every September 11 as my duty knife.
World Trade Center
Sal,
It is obvious that time, care and expense went into the knife and I trust you got the sense from the entries above how much we (from various parts of the globe) appreciate and respect what you and the Spyderco crew have done. The benefit transcends the dollar amount that the families receive. It also, I believe, touches each person who owns the knife in a way that fills a part of one of the spaces in the metaphorical "Values totem" we carry in our hearts and that mirrors the totem you wear around your neck.
Again, thanks.
Steve
