I have to say, I did not understand the love for the Police model until I picked up the stainless one for myself a couple weeks ago. That one was an instant favorite. Now I am really, really excited for the imminent release of the Police4, with a more Military-like belly. There is just nothing like dropping an easy to carry, slim, huge blade into your pocket.

I've moved away from carrying the Military in favor of the Pacific Salt for its lighter weight, but the overall feel and shape isn't quite it. I think a FRN Police4 will be just the ticket. I won't be able to resist checking out the K390 G10 Police4 first though!

I missed out on viewing the pics, so I can only imagine how sweet that new knife feels.

I have had my police 4 at my side for the past four days. This knife is amazing. Sal personally signed it (engraved) and since it wasn't in the factory store yet he had someone get it straight from QC. I could not be happier.

I am waiting on this knife. I am past ready.

Thanks for the great descriptions and information, Darby. I somehow missed this thread the first go-around, and there have been so many great exclusives and sprints coming out lately, I had almost forgotten about this knife, but now I'm really looking forward to giving it a try. I've never owned a Police model and regretted missing out on the G-10 P3 when they were selling so cheap a couple of years ago.

KC has the P4 on pre-order now for $173.97.
K-390 on hand: Mule Team 17, Police 4 G-10, Endela (burlap micarta), Endela backup, Endura (canvas micarta), Straight Stretch (now blade-swapped with G-10 Stretch), Delica Wharncliffe, Dragonfly Wharncliffe, & Dragonfly Wharncliffe shorty mod
Note to self: Less is more.

We have a large number of new models to come out and we're tying to meter them out so as not to intro too many at one time. Delivery to us is always varied. Our apologies.

Sometimes this helps some of us handle the financial aspects without letting a prized model get away -- thanks Sal!

Glad the pics are back up. Thanks Darby. The Photobucket debacle has destroyed some of the past great forum threads.

Looks like some of you were able snag some from BHQ? Waiting for my pre-order from KC.

Also waiting for some pictures from those of you who may get it before me.

I went ahead and pre-ordered one at KC because there it'll give me enough rewards points to complete a $50 rewards card, and I can pretend that makes it $50 cheaper ;)
