Walker Experimental CX06 ???
A person I have bought and traded coins with asked if I could list a knife for him online since I do a lot of online auctions. He claims it is a Michael Walker Experimental CX06. I do not have it in my position yet but would like to find out some info on it. From what I have read they seem to be pretty rare. Is there a way for me to verify what it is? Any thing I should check for when I have it in hand?

Re: Walker Experimental CX06 ???
Welcome to the forum! :) The CX06 Michael Walker was sold in late 1997 to early 1998 and was only available via Ironstone, the precursor to the Spyderco Factory Outlet. They were rare ten years ago, and probably even more so now. It should be pretty easy to identify, as the CX06 SKU should be on the box (assuming he has it) and you can compare it to the picture in this thread (bottom knife of the first picture, top knife in the second): http://www.spyderco.com/forumII/viewtop ... =2&t=14200" target="_blank You can also post a picture here and we'll do our best to confirm what you have. It also came in plainedge, besides the partially serrated one in the aforementioned pictures. I doubt there are any fakes of this knife out there, so the only thing I'd check for is that the correct box is intact and that the handle and blade look in good cosmetic shape.

The original box definitely helps you catch a premium, but regardless, pretty much any of the Walkers are top shelf and eagerly sought out in the resale market.
I'd love to have one, but they typically jump to a price range out of my reasonable reach and since I like to use all of my knives I think I might feel bad using a rare Walker!

Going back to Caly.
