H1 Bleeder
H1 Bleeder
Hey guys, for those of you that are H1 fans :)
Of the discontinued H1 knives that I own, I would say the Catcherman is my most versatile tool, for me personally for what I use. This knife, while I don’t use much for filleting, I rely heavily on it in my boat for many purposes.
#1 Bait Knife
#2 Bleeder
#3 Initial cuts for cleaning
#4 Trimming of fins, fat etc.
#5 Belt for quick access as its thin and very sharp.
#6 Will not rust or deteriorate with proper care
#7 Color > very easy to find
Just thought I would post today to share some #Knifelife love. While I only own 2 of these, I use them frequently, and can honestly say, this knife was built with a purpose. Please feel free to add photos to this or comment on your experience with any H1, and/or this knife specifically.
Cheers,
dtoad

Real nice pics and some real nice fish too.

Was not even aware of that model. Thanks for sharing and nice pics.

Exactly what I use too! :cool:dtoad wrote:and another bleeder fav!
I don't know why I didn't cotton on to using a HB on fish earlier but the PE Tasman and SE Ladybug have been a game changer for me. The do everything I need exceptional well in a tidy package, except fillet of course which I do at home so they're all I carry. :)
I'd likely buy a Catcherman too if they ever become available again.
Nice fish by the way. What are the little green ones?
Edit: Apologies I do not have a Spyderhawk. I thought the knife was a Tasman. :o

Re: H1 USN Catcherman
Bloke, the USN Catcherman can still be found, just getting increasingly harder and harder to find. Especially, mint unused. Those little green ones are brined dyed herring we use for bait. Thank you for the reply, Appreciated. Lets see some pics :)Bloke wrote:Exactly what I use too! :cool:dtoad wrote:and another bleeder fav!

One more for today, Spyderhawk at work on a big hen. This is the perfect knife for surgery to get after those eggs.......
