I actually carry the Street Beat in a custom neck sheath and LOVE it!

I also carry a Swick fishing a lot.
I'd love a shrunk down Street Beat...2.5-3 inch edge length and micarta or polished G10 scales.

Sal, I like the idea for a LC200N Swick. How about a run of the Spot in the same materials?

An lc200n swick sounds fantastic. I have been wanting a swick for ages and an lc200n version is a definite must have, would go great with my new dragonfly 2 in lc200n as well Sal. :)

Sal an even better idea might be a caspian salt and swick combo package. The caspian salt was a knife before its time it needed lc200n to really make it a great knife design that would perform better in the plain edge portion of the blade. the caspian salt in lc200n would be awesome especially with a pointed tip similar to the fish hunter but with the combo blade. Now that is the ultimate yacht, kayak, fishing combo, with a dragonfly 2 in lc200n as the lightweight handy folder to match of course.:)

Couldn't help you, I hate having anything around my neck so I don't consider that an option.

I have an Ark that I modified the sheath to accept a G clip or Teklok. It carries nicely horizontal on my belt at 11 o clock or 1 o clock.

Maybe the pe swick in lc200n and the se swick in H1. That would be the best of both blades with the best steel for the job. Makes sense!!!!

Sal, count me in for a few LC200N Swicks if you make them! Love the design.

If you include a sheath can it be drilled to accept a g-clip from factory?

Ah, didn't realize. I had the Swick 2 and 3, and got custom sheaths made for each. Either way I'm very excited at the prospect of a rust proof Swick. I've wanted one in H1 for years but LC200N works too!

On my first deployment, I carried the Native 2 LW in my pocket (a SE one- I used the serrations to cut into the heavy waxed paper of "tootsie rolls" during several firefights). After a lot of experimentation, I finally carried a Waved Endura in a "Speed Dialer" sheath zip tied to my body armor. (I wrote an article about it which was featured in the Dec 2007 edition of SWAT Magazine.)
I missed this post, before I posted earlier. Those speed dialer sheaths are exactly what I'm looking for (I wonder if they still make them?). I wish the laws here allowed concealed fixed blade carry. Switchblades are illegal here too but it's OK as long as it's under 2 inches... however there are no similar exceptions for concealed fixed blades of any size... and yet no restrictions on the size of concealed folders  . Cali has strange laws.

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio ...

I wear a neck knife as a means of having a knife available to me as a last-ditch self-defense weapon or survival tool. I wear it UNDER my shirt, not outside where it would be visible to onlookers.

Most places I go, it's okay to walk around with a pocket knife clip visible. But there are times and places in which I want to have an available knife that absolutely will not be detected by those around me. Neck knives serve that purpose.

Sal, thanks for considering this. I would love a Swick 4 leaf-shaped blade in plain edge.

I don't know what you mean by "normal distribution rather than consumer direct." Does that mean I would get it from the usual well-known online knife retailer I generally buy from? I'm ok with that.

Again, thanks for considering a new rust-free Swick 4.

I thought about a smaller version of the STREETBEAT model as a possible "neck knife" but I got mine out today and I'm convinced that the STREETBEAT model just as it is can be an excellent EDC neck knife IMO. I also like SURF's idea of the SWICK model for a neck knife EDC but there are some others from the past I also liked i.e. the SPOT model for instance. For years I thought that would be a good neck knife.

There was also the older VAGABOND model which I always thought had the accolades of a potential neck knife EDC.

My late best friend EDCed his STREETBEAT but he used ankle sheaths>> he was extremely good at deploying his STREETBEAT and it was his primary EDC as well.

Now Mike Sastre who is a Forum member here at Spyderville and he sells some really nice folder sheaths and his sheaths for the Reverse S blades in particular. I got a couple of sheaths from him>> one for my VG-10 Matriarch>> and one for my Civilian model too>> I've been very satisfied with both units. He has the hardware if you truly want to have a neck knife for your primary EDC.
